Minimum hardware
It is likely that most computers purchased before 1997 will have difficulty fitting the RIM spreadsheet into their available memory. The recommended minimum hardware is:
With this minimum configuration, you will probably have to have no other programs running for RIM to run smoothly and quickly.
RIM was created on Windows computers but will run on a Mac computer if it includes the necessary software (see below). We have not tested the specific hardware requirements for a Mac.
Software requirements
RIM is not a stand-alone package. In order to use it, you must have a copy of Microsoft Excel® version 97 or later. Excel can be purchased separately or, more commonly, as part of the Microsoft Office package.
